Tapping the notification tears you completely out of your active workspace, launches a heavy messaging app, and breaks your train of thought.
According to cognitive psychology studies, recovering from a single context switch takes an average of over twenty minutes. On mobile operating systems, this fragmentation happens dozens of times a day.

Aera introduces the Floating Response Surface on Android. When a high-priority communication reaches your device, Aera renders a compact, translucent overlay directly over your current application. You can review the message context, dictate or type a concise reply, trigger an automated acknowledgement, and dismiss the interaction in seconds — without ever leaving your primary task.
Privacy and speed are non-negotiable. Aera operates with an offline-first, local-queue model. Communications are cached locally, encrypted with device-bound keys, and processed directly on device whenever possible. The floating surface avoids unnecessary background services, minimizing memory footprint and battery drain.
Beyond basic messaging, Aera incorporates intent analysis to quietly filter ambient noise while ensuring time-sensitive or high-consequence notifications receive the immediate, frictionless attention they warrant.
